WE ARE REQUESTING TO ALLOW UP TO 53 FOOT CANDLES, THE AMOUNT RECOMMENDED BY THE PICKLEBALL ASSOCIATION. WHEN THEY MADE THIS REQUEST , WE ASKED THE PARKS AND REC, WHAT THE LIMITS ARE, THE TENNIS COURTS WERE THE HIGHEST, 49 FOOTCANDLES. I WILL SAY THE BETTER METRIC SHEETS THEY PROVIDED WITH THESE ALTERNATIVE STANDARD REQUESTS DID NOT GO ABOVE 47 FOOTCANDLES. BUT THEY WANTED THE OPTION, WHATEVER THE PICKLEBALL ASSOCIATION RECOMMENDED, ABOUT 43. THEY ARE REQUESTING 53 FOOTCANDLES, IN LIEU OF THE 20 FOOTCANDLES. WE ARE LIKELY GOING TO REVISE THE DEVELOPMENT CODE IN THE FUTURE TO HAVE SPECIFIC PROVISIONS FOR OUTDOOR COURTS. I AM HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE REGARDING THE ALTERNATIVE STANDARD.
